Flu Walk In Clinic

Lyster will conduct a Walk-In Flu Clinic Dec 14 & 16 for enrolled beneficiaries from 0800-1145 and 1300-1545. You can also choose to get your flu shot at a network pharmacy if it’s more convenient for you. If you are Active Duty and receive your flu shot off post, please bring in documentation to ensure we accurately capture this important requirement in MEDPROS!

Booster Walk In Clinic

Thursday, Dec 9 Lyster will offer the Moderna booster vaccination on a walk-in basis in V117 for Active Duty, DoD Civilians, and enrolled beneficiaries (ages 18 and over) who received their initial vaccinations at Lyster and are 6 months past their initial vaccination series. No appointment necessary. We do ask for you to please bring your COVID vaccination card with you. Walk-In Clinic Times: 0800-1145 & 1300-1545

Lyster gears up for influenza season

It’s time to get your flu shot. Lyster Army Health Clinic kicked off the 2021 Flu Campaign on October 21 to protect individuals from influenza, its complications, and to prevent the potential spreading of the disease. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, reducing the spread of respiratory illnesses, like flu, this fall and winter is more important than ever.

Optimizing ACFT performance

Improving health and fitness across the force remains a top priority for Army leadership. The Fort Rucker Army Wellness Center and Lyster Army Health Clinic's Physical Therapy department have partnered to teach an Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) Performance Optimization Class. The class will use physical demonstrations with ACFT lane equipment to improve the ability to correctly perform and execute the ACFT. Soldiers will receive handouts alongside the physical demonstration to aid in learning from certified strength and conditioning specialists and physical therapy professionals.

Regional Health Command-Atlantic command team visits Lyster

U.S. Army’s Regional Health Command-Atlantic senior leaders visited Lyster Army Health Clinic on Fort Rucker, Alabama to learn about its clinic operations, people, and mission on Sept. 22, 2021. RHC-A Commander Brig. Gen. Mary Krueger and RHC-A Senior Enlisted Advisor Command Sgt. Maj. Rebecca Booker also met with leaders from Brown Dental Clinic, Fort Rucker Veterinary Treatment Facility, and the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Rucker.
